The country’s leading electric scooter maker Ola Electric is going to launch many big things next year. The company gave this information during filing in the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). During the quarterly results, the company announced the launch of the Gen 3 Platform.

Ola Electric informed during the filing that the Gen 3 platform will be launched next year i.e. in January 2025. New products prepared under this platform will also be launched. Apart from this, a little more focus will be given to the service center as compared to now.

Preparation for next launch

The company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that it will launch the Gen 3 Platform next year.

Although this launch was scheduled for August, now it is being extended to January. Apart from this, the company said that S1 Gen 3 products will be launched in January 2025. Therefore, there can be an improvement of 20 pp in the margin in the next 12 months.

So many models sold in Q2

The company told during the filing that the quarter the company has been sold 98,619 units. Whereas in the same quarter last year, the company sold 56,813 units. The company’s sales have seen a jump of 73.6 percent. The company said that scooters worth Rs 1 lakh are being liked more. While premium portfolio scooters have contributed more to the revenue.

The focus will be full on the service stores

In the coming days, the company will also focus on service centers. By March 2025, the company is totally considering to increase its store and co location service infra network to the 2000. Currently, the company’s portfolio got 6 electric scooters, which are priced between the ₹ 75,000 to ₹ 150,000.

Apart from this, the company is also preparing to launch other two and three-wheelers. In the upcoming next 2 years, the company will launch 20 products in India. It is being said that every quarter the company will definitely launch some new product.

Company’s portfolio

Electric bikes have also been added in the company’s portfolio. These include Roaster X (2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, 4.5 kWh), Roadster (3.5 kWh, 4.5 kWh, 6 kWh) and Roadster Pro (8 kWh, 16 kWh). Talking about the price of the bikes are placed at Rs 74,999, Rs 1,04,999, and Rs 1,99,999 accordingly.
