India’s electric 2-wheeler company Ola Electric has seen tremendous growth in a very short time. Ola Electric currently sells only electric scooters, but now soon the company is going to sell electric bikes as well. While the pictures of Ola electric bike have already surfaced, the company’s CEO has released a new update regarding Ola bike.
Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has recently announced that the company’s most awaited electric motorcycle will be available for sale soon. About three months after Ola Electric introduced its first electric motorcycle Roadster in India, the company is preparing to deliver the first units to customers.
Bhavish Aggarwal recently announced on social media that the company is close to reaching major production milestones. He told that Ola’s new Gigafactory, where the Roadster will be manufactured, is ready to start operations. He has also shared pictures of it.
Ola’s first electric bike Ola Roadster was introduced in August 2024 at an initial price of Rs 75,000 and booking started on the same day. But customers are expected to get its delivery from January 2025.
Features of Ola Roadster Bike
Ola Roadster Bike was introduced in three variants. This includes Roadster X, Roadster and Roadster Pro. The most affordable option among these is the Ola Roadster X, which has a starting price of Rs 74,999 (ex-showroom) and has a 2.5kWh battery pack.
Apart from this, Roadster and Roadster Pro get battery packs of 3.5 kWh and 4.5 kWh respectively. It suits different needs and budgets. The ex-showroom price of its top variant is more than Rs 2 lakh. This bike can give a range of up to 200 km on a single charge.
Let us tell you that till now Ola Electric is selling only one electric scooter S1. The company is trying to launch new e-scooters after the Ola S1 electric scooter, but the company’s focus is currently on electric bikes.
