Honda company is going to do something big in India soon. Honda had not yet stepped into the electric sector in India. If media reports are to be believed, Honda can launch the first scooter of its electric variant this month.
Honda’s most popular scooter Activa is now being prepared to be introduced as an electric scooter soon. The brand has set a date of 27 November for this. It is worth noting that this will be the first electric scooter of the Japanese company.
Through this product, the company will try to attract the demand for electric two-wheelers in the Indian market, which is increasing day by day.
Experts say that this electric scooter of Honda will be similar to the current Activa 110 in terms of performance. While its range is going to be around 100 km. Apart from this, a fixed battery option is expected to be given. But, if the brand equips this electric scooter with a removable battery option, then it will not be a surprise.
In terms of chassis, it is expected that the platform will be designed in such a way that a good balance of space can be easily found to fit the battery and motor.
Apart from this, talking about hardware, this scooter should be equipped with telescopic forks at the front and mono shocks at the rear. While in terms of braking, disc brakes can be given on the front wheel.
However, Honda has taken a lot of time to bring the electric scooter. In such a situation, it will also be seen whether this scooter of the company will be able to compete with other brands present in the market like TVS iQube, Ather Rizta, Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak and Ola S1 range or not.
Will Honda be able to write a new chapter of trust in the electric segment among the customers with ‘Better late than never’?
