The country’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer Royal Enfield has unveiled its much-awaited bike Goan Classic 350. This is a bobber-style bike that is based on the company’s best-selling model Classic 350. However, a lot has been changed in this bike which makes it completely different from Classic.
At present, the company has only displayed the new Goan Classic 350. It will be officially launched for sale on November 23. Its prices will also be announced on the same day. This motorcycle will be available in a total of four dual-tone color options. Which includes Rev Red, Trip Teal, Purple Haze, and Shock Black color variants.
How is the Goan Classic 350
As we said the Goan Classic 350 is based on the regular Classic 350. However many changes have been made in the design and devices for bobber stance and appeal. This bike has been designed on a double down-tube chassis like Classic. This bike does not have a subframe, but instead has a bobber-style overhang seat with a removable pillion seat.
The front of the bike has an LED headlamp and a semi-digital instrument console similar to the Classic 350. However, the handlebar of the bike is completely different from the Classic. It has an APE handlebar. Apart from this, forward-set foot pegs and a lower seat height of 750 mm give this bike a proper bobber style.
Wheels are different from Classic
In the current regular Classic 350 model, the company has given 19-inch wheels at the front and 18-inch wheels at the rear. Whereas this new Goan Classic has 19-inch wheels at the front and 16-inch wheels at the rear. Due to this, the rear of the bike looks very low. But this management of wheels is perfect for bobber style.
White wall color has been used on its tires. Apart from this, the slash-cut silencer also improves the side profile of the bike. White color tires and stylish seats further enhance the sportiness of this bike. Royal Enfield has equipped the Goan with tubeless wire-spoke wheels, which also get rid of the hassle of puncture.
Power and Performance
Its engine mechanism is similar to the Classic 350. The same J-series 349 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine has been given in the Goan. Which generates 20 bhp of power and 27 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Hardware
The motorcycle has a telescopic fork at the front and a twin shock absorber suspension setup at the rear. Talking about braking, disc brakes are available at both ends. Which is equipped with a dual-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS). The bike weighs 197 kg.
What will be the price
It is difficult to say anything about the price of this bike before the launch. However, it is believed that the company can launch the new Goan Classic 350 at a starting price of Rs 2.10 lakh. The price of the current Classic 350 starts from Rs 1.93 lakh and goes up to Rs 2.25 lakh for the top variant.
