Renault Duster can return to the Indian market once again very soon. The company introduced the right-hand drive model of Duster during an event in South Africa. However, it is not clear yet whether this vehicle will be launched in the Indian market or not, but it is certain that the new Duster will be first launched in South Africa in March 2025.
At that time this SUV gained tremendous popularity among the customers. But gradually its sales started declining due to not meeting the new emission norms and increasing competition. Eventually, Renault stopped production of Duster in India in 2022. Let us know what features and changes can be seen in this new Duster.
A new engine will be available
Three engine options can be seen to power the new Duster. It includes a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine, a 1.2-liter petrol-hybrid engine, and a 1.6-liter petrol-hybrid engine. Apart from this, manual and automatic transmission options can also be available in it.
With this new model of Renault, the company wants to strengthen its hold not only in South Africa but also in other markets including India. Now it remains to be seen how much Indian customers like this new Duster.
How will the design be
A glimpse of the Dacia Duster is seen in Renault’s upcoming new generation Duster. The design language of the new Duster is inspired by Dacia Duster and its proportions are also similar to the global variant. However, instead of ‘Dacia’, it has a ‘Renault’ badge on the front grille, but no changes have been made to the rest of the styling such as headlamps, cladding, side silhouette, and tail lamps.
The right-hand drive version has features like a global model
The right-hand drive (RHD) version of the new generation Duster, which has been introduced, is equipped with the interior layout and technology of the global model. The layout, features, and technology of the cabin are almost similar to the global model. The only difference is that the steering wheel position is on the right side.
The new Duster will see a big change compared to the models sold earlier in India. However, the interior quality and color choices do not seem to be very different from the old models. The company says that this SUV will be officially unveiled in India next year.
