Many companies are going to unveil their new cars at the 2025 India Mobility Expo. Hyundai’s Creta EV is also included in this list. Its testing has been going on in the Indian market for a long time. Now its production model is ready to be launched.

This will be the company’s third electric car after Kona Electric and Ioniq 5 in the Indian market. It is also believed that it will replace Kona Electric. Recently, the company said that it is going to expand its EV lineup. It will start with Creta EV.

Design of Creta EV

The upcoming Hyundai Creta EV will be based on the ICE facelift model of the midsize SUV. It will get connected taillights at the rear, a similar rear bumper, and a shark-fin antenna.

Apart from removing the tailpipe in the Creta EV, aerodynamic new alloy wheels will be included with Creta EV badging and a closed grille at the rear. At the same time, the design of headlamps and DRL will be carried forward.

It will be built on an updated version of the K2 architecture, which is also the platform of the current Hyundai Creta.

Interior of Creta EV

Now talking about the interior of the Creta EV, it will get an advanced interior with quality content and many technology features. The cabin can be decorated with premium leatherette.

It will get the facility of an electric panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, and 2-stage reclining in the second row. Apart from this, a new gear selector, new layout in the center console, new 3-spoke steering wheel, and ambient lighting are also expected.

Features of Creta EV

Talking about other features available in the Creta EV, it will get a dual-screen setup for infotainment and instrument cluster. It will get wireless connectivity with Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Most of the technology and safety features in it are likely to be taken from Creta EV itself.

For example, it will also include Level-2 ADAS for safety and a 360-degree surround-view camera for blind spots. A wireless phone charger and cooled glovebox are expected in the front row, USB charging outlet in the second row.

Range of Creta EV

The mechanical specifications of the Creta EV are not yet known. However, it is believed that it will be offered in 2 variants based on battery options. It can compete with the recently launched Tata Curve EV. Which has 45kWh and 55kWh battery packs.

It is believed that with a larger battery pack, the range of the Creta EV can be 500 kilometers. Its starting ex-showroom price can be around Rs 20 lakh. It will also compete with Maruti e-Vitara, which is going to be launched at the India Mobility Expo.
