Xpeng Aerohat, a subsidiary of Chinese electric vehicle company Xpeng, introduced its new modular flying car called Land Aircraft Carrier at the 15th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition in Zhuhai, Guangdong. The special thing is that this flying car has already received 2000 pre-orders.
The price of the flying car is around Rs 2.36 crore
Xpeng Aerohat’s Land Aircraft Carrier flying car costs around US $ 280,000 (Rs 2.36 crore). It has received 2008 pre-orders so far. According to a CnEVPost report, this is the largest order ever in the flying car industry.
Which orders are coming from sectors like transportation, tourism, real estate, and technology. The special thing is that the prices of premium cars of many companies like Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar, and Land Rover are also higher than this.
It will be able to take 5 to 6 short flights on full charge
The land aircraft carrier consists of a flying car and a parent vehicle (a hybrid-electric van), which can recharge the flying car. It has 6 electric propellers and 2 electric ducted fans, which are operated by 8 electric motors and a battery pack. 2 people will be able to sit in it. It will be able to take 5-6 short flights when fully charged. The parent vehicle can recharge the flying car from 30% to 80% in 18 minutes.
10 thousand units will be prepared every year
Xpeng Aerohat also demonstrated the first public flight of the land aircraft carrier at the Airshow China to be held from 12 to 17 November. The pre-sale of the Land Aircraft Carrier Flying Car is scheduled to begin by the end of 2024 (by December).
Its mass production and delivery will begin in 2026. According to a CnEVPost report, Xpeng Aerohat is building a flying car manufacturing center in Guangzhou, which will have an annual production capacity of over 10,000 units.
