BMW India’s name has now been included in the list of cars that will increase the price from the beginning of the new year i.e. January 2025. The company has confirmed that it will increase the prices of its cars from January 2025.

The company is going to increase the price of its cars by up to 3% depending on the variant from next year. The company has not given any reason behind the price hike. However, the reason for this may be higher operational costs.

BMW sells a range of cars in the Indian market such as 2 Series Gran Coupe, 3 Series LWB, 5 Series, 7 Series, X1, X3, X5, X7, and M340i, all of which are locally produced in the country.

Also, models like the i4, i5, i7, iX1, Z4, and the entire M range of cars are brought to the country through the CBU route. The company introduced the all-new M5 earlier this week.

Mercedes-Benz is also increasing prices

Even before 2025 begins, Mercedes-Benz has officially announced a price hike on cars. The company will increase prices across its model range from January 1, 2025. The company will increase prices by up to 3% due to higher operational costs.

According to the company, the price hike is being done due to rising material costs, inflationary pressures, and logistics expenses. Which has led to an increase in operational costs.

Notably, Mercedes will provide price protection for all existing and future bookings that are currently out of stock. It will be valid only till December 31, 2024.

The price hike will start with the GLC, which will see a price hike of Rs 2 lakh, going up to Rs 9 lakh for the Mercedes-Maybach S680 Limousine. Apart from this, Mercedes-Benz has become the first OEM to announce price revisions from the new calendar year.

Many other brands are expected to do the same in the coming days, as happens every year. It is also expected that many companies may announce this in the next 15 to 20 days. This may also increase the company’s year-end sales.
